We have been actively working with our new insurance broker, Hub International, to secure you better voluntary insurance benefits at more competitive pricing. For this year - 2025 - for members who elected voluntary benefits and whose payroll premium deposits stopped as of April 1, 2025, it is necessary to collect and remit any missed premium payments to the insurance carriers to ensure your continued coverage. To accomplish this, Beginning September 19th, 2025, any missed premiums will be evenly spread across all remaining pay periods through December 26, 2025. These amounts will be automatically added to your resumed deductions. These payback payments will be completed by the end of the year, and the new lower cost premiums and better insurance benefits will start in January 2026.
Please join Evita Garces, Vice President of Line Maintenance, TWU Local 591 Peer Support Coordinator Ken Morse, and guest Dan DeGryse, retired Chicago Fire Department Battalion Chief, for a conversation about mental health, helping each other, and suicide.

Local 591 has already been contacted by Members and fellow airline workers excited about the claim that they won't be paying federal taxes on overtime with the recently approved federal budget Bill (H. Res 1, 119th Cong. (2025)) passed in the House and Senate.
Unfortunately, we have had to explain to them that the provision in the final version passed by the House and Senate only covers Fair Labor Standards Act covered workers (Sec. 70202 § 225.“c”.1), who will be eligible for this provision in the final Bill when signed.
